Everytime I watch this it brings me to tears! "Why?" you may ask, well let me explain.
The people in this commercial (real or actors, doesn't really matter) are willing to open up to a random man on the street because he is willing to listen! It seems true, I think this could really happen. People need to "let it out" and it makes my heart break to think that the Kleenex corporation understand this when I'm not sure that Christians understand this. I know I am guilty of it, I think to myself "Why do I always have to listen to them talk?" And then my heart breaks a little more and I think of the words of Jesus, "Love God and love people."
Dang it! More often then not, loving someone means listening to their story. Loving someone means serving them. Loving people means walking thru life with them, speaking blessings over them, listening to what their broken/ bruised/ depressed spirit is saying and then speaking life into them!
Lord, let your church be a place where people can let it out and find healing in that release!

so maybe we should use those tissue boxes at church- like Tig said "I'm not sure what this means, but Im intrigued."
You're my favorite new preacher - seriously. You always speak such wonderful truth. Thanks for the glimpse of clarity. - glen
I love this commercial too and always am drawn to it. I hate commercials usually too. I find myself wanting to connect with people like that.
Hey Sarah! Love your blogs -- and I'm so stoked to have another blogging friend :). It was so fun to have lunch with you and Katie on Friday, we'll have to do it again soon!
sarah, you are golden.
i like you.
The first time I saw this I cried too. It makes us realize how broken the world is. It hurts.
Good for people to know.
